[ The Front / intro ]

well, I guess I had to accept that challenge

It wasn't very usual.. our doctors aren't usually lively...however, this doctor was quite different, for one reason or "another" heh.. I was sitting in the front near the corner of the lab, where she decided to challenge me for a project next week!! maybe she knew that In The Corner Of The Front , Some Mysteries May Lie

first, we discussed a bit about blood sampling and testing, of course after teasing me about the eraser, wish i could just buy one as a project and get rid of this headache!

the doctor talked a bit about how important it is for a medical student to know how to separate and identify different blood layers when analyzing a sample, in general it consists of 3 layers

we see that the 3 layers are very well observed, first, the hematocrit layer contains the red blood cells, having a very high density, it tends to sedimentate

the 2nd or, as i like to call it, the ringy!!! because it looks like a ring, layer, is called the buffy coat, despite looking skinny....anyhow, this layer contains the platelets and the white blood cells

the last layer is the plasma, it contains all the essential and non-essential amino acis .. hormones...etc etc

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's it for today! it was just an intro, for each lecture, a new page will be added to the site, or the blog! call it what you want!
